Coltsville National Historical Park, Connecticut
A park like no other, Coltsville was envisioned as a way for the NPS to restore, manage, and conserve an old industrial site located in the middle of an urban area. The park celebrates the innovations of Samuel Colt and the contributions of the Colt Armory to American development through the Second Industrial Revolution. Samuel Colt’s factory in Hartford pioneered a system of manufacturing that included interchangeable parts, precision construction, and assembly lines, all of which would soon be replicated across the nation, ultimately establishing the U.S. as a global manufacturing power. Available as a poster, framed print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, or canvas, this original national park art would look great on any wall.
